From the moment they arrived, Tom and his team created an environment that was calming and helped us relax on what should have been a very stressful day! At the start of the day, we were nervous and unsure of ourselves as we had never experienced anything like this, but Tom, Em and Josh had this incredible way of making us feel completely comfortable.
How we got here…
We started our journey back in 2018 shooting typical big weddings. Taking photos and videos, telling love stories has always been our passion. A long with travelling and going on our own adventures.
When we were planning our own wedding. We quickly ran into the same desires and problems we now help our couples with. For us it was a lot of pressure from families to conform to wedding day norms, and invite people we didn’t even know. For family political reasons. Which just wasn’t us, and would quickly turn a day that was about us, into a spectacle we didn’t care for or desire.
So we decided to hell with it, let’s go to Italy and elope there with only the people we know, care and love present for us committing to each other for the rest of our lives. This was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. And shortly after, we had the experience of shooting an elopement for the first time on the Sunshine Coast of BC.
This wedding changed everything
Even though our wedding was like this, being a part of someone else’s, completely broke down the usual client relationship. We got to know these people, their wants, desires and why they chose to have their wedding the way they did.
This was so much more fulfilling
So the decision was made, this is what we are going to do. Elopements full time became our business offering to our couples. Taking on way less weddings to focus on much more meaningful client relationships where we get to know each love story.
Our service had moved from simply being photos and videos, to helping to shape the entire wedding day itself. Taking our personal knowledge from travelling the world. Connecting vendors, and planning our own wedding. To help other people do the same.
So we want to be the first to tell you, to follow your gut. You are doing the right thing, because everyone deserves to have a wedding day like this.
Thomas was incredibly easy to talk to while planning and he made all of the candid and non-candid shots super easy for us. Great guy with a great eye!! The video was exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommend!
