Why they Eloped.
Sydney and Brad decided to Elope in the untamed, majestic mountains of the Canadian Rockies, in Nordegg Alberta. They were after something more intimate with only their close family and friends. They are from Edmonton and love travel and adventures.
“The end result was absolutely perfect, and him being on the journey with us was by far the best decision we made for our wedding other than the venue. Pick Thomas to capture your memories of a day you spend so much time and energy planning, and you will not be disappointed.”
They decided that eloping literally at the top of the mountains was the way forward for them. With a really personal touch of Brad organising for a singer from their first date to fly all the way out from Ottawa to be there on their wedding day.

Their Vision
Their wedding is all about letting the scenery and location do the talking. Their wedding took place in June 2025, so plenty of snow still on top of the mountains, which really adds to their scenery. But without it being too cold to be up at the top. Their accommodation served as the perfect backdrop to their bridal and groom preps. Their cabins in Nordegg provided lots of amazing backdrops.
We all then moved to the Helipad, located on Abraham Lake. Where Craig (The singer from their first date) was waiting with a song for the couple as they boarded the helicopter. We got some amazing shots as we found their elopement spot flying through the mountains.

After heading down from their ceremony. They ate cheese and crackers at the helipad. Before returning to Aurum Lodge for their post ceremony celebrations with close family and friends. Where food was served, they had their first dance, with Craig singing for them on the back porch, surrounded by Abraham Lake and the iconic, rocky mountains of Canada.
